About Sarah Ritter, Clinical Herbalist
Listening deeply. Healing naturally.
Root-cause herbalist & holistic practitioner.
I’m a trauma-informed clinical herbalist and holistic coach who blends precision with soul-deep care. I’m able to hold complexity with gentleness, meeting clients not as problems to be fixed but as whole beings whose symptoms carry a story.
I approach my work like a detective, tirelessly searching for the root causes that underlie illness and imbalance. My process reflects my gifts for sequencing care: I focus on building safety first, layering nourishment, and then moving toward deeper repair. I bridge coaching with herbal medicine, homeopathy, flower essences, and somatic practices, creating protocols that support both physiology and spirit.
My presence is steady, compassionate, and empowering. I honor microshifts, teach nervous system safety, and walk beside my clients as they reclaim connection, resilience, and vitality.
Formal Study and Training
My lived experience pushed me to study formally and rigorously. I completed over 2,000 hours of clinical herbalism training at the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism (CSCH), the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism (NAIMH), and the Acorn School of Herbal Medicine. At Acorn, I completed a year-long clinical residency and roundtable internship, where I gained hands-on experience supporting clients with complex conditions. Today, I serve as a practitioner at the Acorn Collaborative Care Clinic, working alongside Paul Bergner and Heather Luna in a collaborative model of care.
